The Steal are great. That record store i mentioned is kinda a label too. I think it's gravity DIP and they put on loads of shows round here with the steal supporting. Darkthrone doesn't rely on sounding huge. If a band is supposed to be overwhelming and big, it shouldn't sound like it was recorded in a garage. It ruins it. Isis and Jesu sound great, crisp, you can hear everything. Drone/doom should sound good.

http://www.sharebig.com/d/soqprifqm/0Aqiqr945CCBED30A/Fearless%20Iranians%20From%20Hell.rar.htm
Probably one of the greatest bands to come out of South Texas. Featuring 2 ex-members of the Butthole Surfers and an actual Iranian, this band ripped George W. Sr.'s administration a new one with their pseudo-militant islamic banter and full on assault on all that Americans stood for. Spitting pure rage and hatred that was as perfect for it's time as it would be now, which is probably why this long forgotten band has been resurrected and done a few shows around TX in the past year or so.

Aight, here it is, some crucial crossover jammage.
Beowulf - Lost My Head...But Now I'm On The Right Track
http://www.sharebig.com/d/sjfejkloq/0B7Apd145CEC6020A/(1988)%20Lost%20My%20Head...But%20Now%20I'm%20On%2 0the%20Right%20Track.rar.htm
Killer thrash tunes from these vatos locos. Straight out of Venice, these dudes brought the jams alongside their fellow cycos, Suicidal Tendencies, Excel, No Mercy, etc. Really awesome stuff.
D.R.I. - Thrash Zone
http://www.sharebig.com/d/siklswthl/0mNwBiJ45CEC6070A/Thrash%20Zone.rar.htm
My personal favorite from these thrash legends. These Dirty Rotten Imbeciles were basically one of the first crossover bands, and they, IMO, were the ones to perfect it.. Hailing from Houston, TX, but thrashing via San Francisco, CA, this band was one of many killer bands to leave TX to live in SF. Bastards....hah. They were going to do a US tour last summer, but those plans got cancelled with the news that their guitarist, Spike Cassidy, was diagnosed with cancer.
Suicidal Tendencies - Join the Army
http://www.sharebig.com/d/sxwkpokuw/0BUnBI845CEC6C80A/Join%20the%20Army.rar.htm
Most people already own the S/T by these crossover kings, so I figured I would up their second LP. This album was when ST decided to start going more metal, and it was one of their last as a crossover band before going straight thrash metal for awhile.
Wehrmacht - Shark Attack
http://www.sharebig.com/d/svqmsulqr/0HRa83545CEC6CA0A/Shark%20Attack.rar.htm
This band just plain rules. Coming out of Cali, but later moving to Portland, OR, this band was a later endeavor by past members of the legendary, Cryptic Slaughter.
the Accused - Martha Splatterhead's Maddest Stories Ever Told
http://www.sharebig.com/d/sjiwlqjwr/0F4lFSm45CEC7270A/(1988)Martha%20Spladderheads%20Maddest%20Stories%2 0Ever%20Told.rar.htm
My personal favorite from these NW thrashers. Coming out of Seattle, WA, these sick-o's were the pioneers of their own genre known only as, "Splatterrock". Generally concentrating on murder, death, gore, and horror movies as their main lyrical topic, this band has been ripping it up since 1983. Having released an album in 2005, entitled "Oh, Martha!", the Accused boys show that they haven't lost their abilities to thrash like maniacs.
Attitude Adjustment - American Paranoia & More
http://www.sharebig.com/d/shkgflnnd/022Z2WS45CEC7E30A/American%20Paranoia%20%26%20More.rar.htm
Classic crossover album from these SF Bay Area thrashers.
Various - Welcome to Venice compilation
http://www.sharebig.com/d/srxwjmtss/0BAhrgQ45CEC8080A/1985%20-%20Welcome%20to%20Venice.rar.htm
A compilation released in 1985 on Suicidal Records. Features 9 songs of ripping Venice/SoCal hardcore. Bands on this LP include: Suicidal Tendencies, Beowulf, Los Cycos, No Mercy and Excel. Def a must hear for fans of SoCal thrash.
EDIT: Goto my main link to get the Beowulf album as the link is messing up.

GAMMACIDE - Victims of Science (1989)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0P854O7N
http://joanfrost.tripod.com/gammacide_1.jpg
Excellent Texas thrash metal. Here is a review:
"This little rarity provides raw energy in its most pure form. Gammacide's Victims Of Science is close to being the definite prototype of rapid fire in musical format - during the nine tracks the band don't show even the slightest hint of slowing down for a second. The feel of this album reminds me of Aggression from Canada though the production is definitely better, as both bands seem to share the same kind of undisputed attitude and immense intensity in their music. Even the roaring vocals on this album carry a close resemblance to Aggression's style, almost bordering on being overdone but still blending seamlessly with the crushing sound wall that this album so wonderfully builds up. I must admit I sort of admire the level of extreme aggression Gammacide delivers on Victims Of Science - although the result inevitably lacks some nuances, the impact on a careless listener can equal to a medium shock treatment."

One-Eyed God Prophecy - s/t LP
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7xo7tk
Where bands like Orchid and The Red Scare came from, OEGP was a Canadian band that set forth the whole late 90s chaotic emo movement we call screamo. More dark then their proteges OEGP are most definitely not some typical screamo band. Definitely check this out.
