alright guys and gals?
Just wondering how much you guys hear about the UK's scene?
and where abouts you hear about it?
The USA's bands aare in most larger magazines...is it a similar accross the pond?

Ska what ska. i dont think there has been a real ska scene in the US since the 90's. The chances of us hearing any music from your side of the big blue wonder is really unlikely to, no matter the genra.
as for the ska i know of, it is mostly from MX. (ie, lightyear, king blues).

I haven't been keeping up with the skapunk scene lately, but I do enjoy Weapons of Brass Destruction, among others...

southern Ontario has a pretty good ska-punk scene, its not huge but its starting to bud. check out Corporation:

I haven't been keeping up with the skapunk scene lately, but I do enjoy Weapons of Brass Destruction, among others...
I want to check those guys out at least just because they have such an awesome band name..

I got nothing.
Too often skacore is way more core than ska.

in all honesty i never hear any UK bands unless its though myspace. im not just talkin about skacore. I honestly cant think of any really famous UK bands that got big in the past 2-3 years.

Your extremely lucky. theres maybe one ska band in the baltimore/washington area hat i have heard of. maybe im not looking hard enough.
