Basically, 2 guys put up essentially light-brights of mooninites from ATHF around the city, and are being charged with causing a bomb scare.

Errr... I'm pretty sure this is the only thread about it in PNWI.
The whole thing is pretty hilarious.

"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."

Man the article is full of hilarious quotes:
Assistant Attorney General John Grossman called the light boards "bomb-like" devices and said that if they had been explosive they could have damaged transportation infrastructure in the city.
"It's so not threatening -- it's a Lite-Brite,"
I can just imagine how the bomb squads must have reacted upon arriving at the scene:
"Wait, you want me to diffuse a lite-brite?"

If these are the people in charge of bomb scares, then you americans don't stand a chance against terrorists.
Man, it's not like even if it was a bomb it'd kill anything like the number of people that cars do in a few weeks...

yeah, cause terrorists attach neon signs to their explosive devices.

so do you guys think that the advirtising company should pay the city for money spent in the situation? on the one side, it did cause them to spend i think it said 100k. on the other hand, its rediculous and shouldnt have been a big deal in the first place.

If this isn't emboldening the enemy, I don't know what is.
