Peavey Grind Bass 4 BXP NTB

Went in to my local music store today and looked around. Played this one, and can get it for $299. It seems real solid to me. Light, playable, and sounds nice. Does anyone know anything about this bass that would make me not wanna buy it? Any unseen problems, etc? Any opinions on it?

give it a quick once over checking the joints in the thru neck laminate (eg between the mahogany and maple) and check the fret edges. The only bad word i have heard said is the quality control could be improved but if those points are ok you'll get a good bass

I owned one of these for a long time. I loaded it up with a couple EMGS and a nice EMG preamp, and it was in-friggen-credible. Fantastic bass.
