I just ordered me a 35 " scale five stringer and I was wondering what kind of strings I could set it up with after i wear out the stock ones. Can I use strings that are for 34" basses on my bass ?Do manufacturers make sets specifically for 35" basses? If so please recommend me some good strings to buy.Sorry if this seems like a noobish question but ive never owned a 35" scale bass.Thanx

i dont think the extra inch should make that much difference but if it does there are long scale strings you can buy - Rotosound make them i think

When I string up my 34" scale bass I usually end up cutting about 5 inches off, would be 4 inches if it was a 35" scale. You wont need long scale strings.

Anything labelled "long scale" is fine.

I think DR strings are made for scales up to 36" so those would work also.
And for the record, whatever strings Knuckle Quake basses use are designed to go up to 40"+.
