ive been listening to a lot of cannibal corpse lately and i love alex websters tone
i know he used modulous(sp?) on th albulm i like but i was wondering if any one could help me out with the eq
any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds pretty scooped, IE lots of bass and treble, and lots of fret noise. Try that on for size, but put in a little bit of low mid for some punch without cutting through too harshly.

he uses ampeg svt4 - pros
he has a really glassy tone, no effects
tight and punchy lots of low mids and highs

you probably wont, its just the high amount of treble, one thing tho why is fret noise, called fret noise, as far as i am concered its just the grooves in the strings grinding on your skin right?

You make the noise while fretting, and it sounds better than 'skin finger noise'.

Fret noise isnt nesciserily a bad thing, can make your tone sound more agresive, which is probibly why alex websters tone has quite a lot of fret noise.
