Wasn't expecting to get paid today, thought it would be tuesday. Wasn't expecting to get paid twice either!! Shame it won't go unnoticed in accounts.

As I had money I thought I would actually go out to a shop to buy some stuff rather than getting it from ebay in the week. This is what I bought...

Also put the EMAD on today - what a difference from the stock head and pedal!!!! :amaze:

Is there an EMAD on the reso too? I thought they were the auto-muffling type heads so why the duvet inside? (apart from preference)

I couldn't find a shop that had resos in stock so it's still got the stock head on thefront. I removed the pillow that was against the batter but left that one on. Sounds great, I'll probably still get the reso soon tho to see what difference it makes.

Evans makes clear patches now? I love the look of that.

I don't like the clear patch, it looks really useless when you can see through it.

I'm guessing it's just a sticky slab of mylar about 5 or 7 mils thick? Probably a little less durable than the other patches, but I'd like it give it a try if I ever get a new bass head. Been using the same one for 5 years (tried a few others the same period).

Evans clear EQ patch. Doesn't actually do anything to the sound i think. Just makes the head a little more durable.

AF patches put more focus, and a lot more durability, so are good for wood/plastic beaters, and nylon EQ patches soften attack
