now if i wanted to attach wings to a neck how would i go about that? like use glue or something. And would it hold a 20x6 in. or 6x20 in. (i forget which is lenght and which is height) wing on each side? yea its a noobish question, i finally decided to go ahead and start working on some ideas i had in my head. Ill post a picture of what i mean if im not clear but i dont know to post pics yet. thanks:thumb:

does the same thing go for the fretboard, and what kind of glue, regular wood glue? thanks SoM

What you want is Titebond Original Wood Glue. It's pretty much the standard among electric guitar/bass makers. If you want to get fancy you can use hide glue but I haven't done it.

No, a butt joint is plenty strong enough. Biscuits would help keep the pieces aligned while clamping though.
