Being a pretty big Martin Scorsese fan, I heard this was being played on TV this past summer and stayed up to watch it. It was cut up, but I still really liked it.

Just got it on DVD, and I'm liking it more every time I watch it. I always flinch at the part where Sam takes the guy into the back room and takes the hammer and smashes his dealing hand.

i never liked the godfather, tbh. goodfellas and casino were always superior in my mind. and it's how i imagine the mafia to be.


casino is really quite good. i like that it starts with the death of the main character. that's always interested me

Great movie, I always have a hard time deciding whether I like Casino or Goodfellas more.

This is my favourite Scorsese film. It gets less credit than Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull etc, but I don't understand why. To me it's perfect.

This is an incredible film in every aspect, but not quite as great as Goodfella imo

De Niro is just incredible in these films, and in Heat, though Heat isnt a Scorsese film

I've been watching one scene a lot; it's the part where Nicky makes Sam go out to the desert and they're just standing there screaming at each other.

A lot of holes in the desert, and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all ****in' night.

That is my absolute favourite line from Casino.

I actually dig the length of the film. The fact that it is three hours makes it standout automatically. I love it when a director does what he thinks is best for the film, and this length is needed in this film.
