I saw the trailer, it looks weak. I don't understand why in every movie from a cartoon, they always change the animation just a little bit. Not enough so that it really looks better, just enough to make you feel like something is off. It's so annoying. Like they just add a little extra shadow or something.

I think it's called having a bigger budget. It works well with the South Park movie, although to be fair, South Park animation was always crap.

I shudder to think what the storyline to this movie is.

I recently went back and revisted the early simpsons ep's up to Season 3 (i haven't watched them for years). Very nostalgic and a reminder of how good story based animation that doesn't rely on random stupidity and overdone pop culture references was.

I hate many of the newer episodes, its a dead horse then has been beaten with a stick and f*cked up the rear with a glass bottle seven times over.

Holy shi I was gonna concur to that bolded section too. :p Mainly the overdone pop culture references. That and the characters are predictable, and the writers just seem to work with that. Basically, the characters now are caricatures of what they originally were.

That said, I'm afraid this movie is going to be a little embarassing, considering the trailer wasn't particularly tantelising.

Anyone notice how Marge has changed as well as Homer being a complete retard now? She's totally different to how she used to be and it's just bad.
