This is pretty crazy, especially since I live about a 5 minute walk from one of these Mosques mentione (London Central Mosque). Personally, I feel that while these people are entitled to their own opinions, inciting others to racial hatred isn't ok. I think the point where this stops is when it stops being hatred of America, the UK, etc. and where it starts being a command to strike the west in any way possible. Either way, some of the guys on this video are pretty crazy, and are giving the vast majority of peaceful UK Muslims a bad name.

I watched Dispatches the other night, Undercover Mosque it was called. It was alarming, the level of hatred these people have towards the kafir (jews and christians), and are being encouraged to have in these communities. I understand it is not all or even a majority of muslims in this country that feel this way but it is most definitely still a powerful force that mustnt be allowed to grow. I thought that Jihad meant the holy war, to be fought in the enemys lands.
oh btw this was in england, i think mostly filmed in birmingham and london. Its probably the same film on the you-tube but i cant be bothered to watch.

Are we seriously debating the meaning of jihaad? It's not hard. It comes from a verb meaning "to struggle, fight." It's a struggle for the sake of Islam, which could be broadly interpreted as anything which benefits that religion. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe a) it's obligatory if Islam is endangered (?) and b) violence is considered a lesser form of jihaad.

I probably made a fool of myself with that post, but I hope somebody finds it informative.

There's been a misunderstanding. I was just stating that there have been historical examples of large-scale atheist fundamentalism. Hoxha's Albania was as bad as any theocratic state.

However, you've brought up an interesting line of conversation nonetheless so

Fundamentalism occurs whenever people get too into their religion, really. It's a problem in its own right when it's prevalent in society but it's even worse when enforced by the state.
