Top votegetter goes to round 2, next highest goes to a wildcard round in which 4 of the 6 albums will move on to round 2.

Maiden or Drudkh for me. Can't make up my mind right now.

I picked Drudkh for lack of anything else that interested me.

It was a tough choice between Maiden, Scott Walker and David Gilmour. I enjoyed the Maiden album slightly more than the others, so I voted Maiden.

Strapping

It was close between AA, Drudkh and SYL.

I've only heard one of these albums, and I have a feeling it's not as good as the others. I wont vote probably, unless I get a chance to hear the others.

Oooooh difficult.

New Amon Amarth, Drudkh and Iron Maiden were all quite good. But I'll have to give it to Drudkh - Blood In Our Wells is amazing. I love the atmosphere.

I've only heard a couple of songs from the Scott Walker album - and I like.

I chose AMOLAD... flipped a coin between that & The New Black. Also On an Island was pretty decent.

I really like Drudkh, so I voted for that.

What's SYL like?

I've heard them called death metal. It's just really agressive beat your *** stuff. I don't like it at all.

I had to go Maiden even though it isn't their best work...

Not death metal. It's Devin Townsend, though much more aggressive and in your face. I think it has a few industrial elements in it, but it's no way industrial metal.

It's just...Devin metal.

And there's nothing on here I really liked that I heard.

I went with the new Amon Amarth, but Drudkh is equally as deserving.

Had to go with Amon Amarth, it's just to freakin' catchy.

I went with Amon Amarth.

Maiden's new album was good, but as excited for it as I was I got my hopes up and was a little disappointed. Still a great album though.

Have you heard Scott Walker's album?

Once. I was kind of creeped out tbh.

Maybe I'll get into over the next few days but I doubt it since I may commit suicide if I listen to anything other than Russian Circles.

Definitely a good thing.

I didn't know you were quite that into Russian Circles.

Yeah, the intro to Micah is the most bomb melody ever. Enter has been the only thing to make me happy recently, so what I said above was an exaggeration obviously, but not by much.

You were probably thinking that when you grouped it with the new CC.

The forumz sed no, though.

Only one I've heard is SYL, and it didn't really drive me too crazy so I'll abstain.
