Recommended Computer Games?

I haven't played any computer game shy of WoW in ages, and I really think it's time I did.

I just hooked up a 27" Wide Screen HD TV to my computer, so any game that would take advantage of that would be awesome.

My computer is pretty much top-of-the-line, so I don't have nay doubts about running certain games, plus I'm going to get it wiped at my friends house tonight.

I'm really into all sorts of games, but please keep the RTO games to a minimal as they end up boring the living **** out of me.

I'm going to keep looking around at threads and such to see if I can come across any suggestions, however, anything that can lead me in the right direction would be awesome.

CS isn't really a tech-demanding game, as far as I can remember.

If you really want to take advantage of your widescreen I suggest any Source engine game as it supports widescreen very well.

But if his computer is slow, then I wouldnt recommend playing Source, probably just the original, or Condition Zero

Call of duty is pretty fun. I don't know about Call of Duty 2 though.

I prefer counter strike,I can play it for longer too,and its really fun online.

Medieval II is turning out to be a good game, only got it yesterday.

Just Cause is pretty good for a short while.

Just Cause has a giant, giant map and is fun to just screw around in (especially flying fighter jets) but the story gets pretty boring.
