Permanent Solution

Rules:
Anyone can win.
Number of nominations does not matter (everyone advances), but, each nomination requires AT LEAST THREE SENTENCES to be valid. Please do this. If you can't back up your choice with at least one sentence, you should reconsider how much you think they deserve this award. Don't nominate yourself.
I've also posted a poll. This thread is for discussion of the poll, and nominations only please. Accepted noms will be edited in.
EDIT: Can a mod make votes public please? OOps =\

I nominate Dr. Jake Destructo. He is a consistently helpful and intelligent user. He has a good grasp of how the forums work and at the same time doesn't take them as seriously as a lot of people on here which is a good thing.
I also nominate Magicbus. While he's been laying lower than he used to recently, he is still a very knowledgable user. He also knows when to be serious and when to joke around. He contributes well to the Daily Upload and co-runs the R&M Photoalbum and L&R thread.
Lunch

I second both of those noms.
Steerpike, simply for his enduring series and articles and attitude. So many people jumped on the bandwagon making these "series" threads, but he's the only one that has consistently churned them out. Everybody else just fell out and stopped writing them, but Alex continues to write them and provide some free tunes. Plus, his humor and always helpful nature is well-appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed.
Superpeer for yet-again moderating another year in R&M without faltering. Also, he likes pre-pubescent girls. Also, he helped expose me to some new tunes. Also, he is funny as hell.
MetalOz for running the Daily Upload for almost a year and shows no signs of slowing down. Further, he took over the songwriting competition for me when I had to leave the site in April, and to this day, still runs that. Running both things is no doubt time consuming, but they're two of the staple things found in R&M.

Riva - Likes tons of rock and metal, and is always in on the discussion of everything. Good sense of humor as well, and a very capable mod. And he had that awesome avatar a long time ago with the blonde dude when he was HeavyRiva back in the day.

Well, Jeremy's the backbone, but I get what you're saying.
quoted for misconception on vertebral section of the forum
Txus - Good user, adds up a lot to conversations and keeps the Daily Upload Running with mildly interesting (sic) albums, despite metaloz actually makes it run, so yabadda yabadda. Slightly close minded and can get old pretty fast but he's a good user, fun at times and keeps the forum... in good shape.
OK not good shape but the kid tries.
Kage - Funny user because he defends King Crimson, UNPRETENTIOSNESS of music and has had his moments, like that time he spent like 3 days awake but failed at it. Cute, entertaining and slightly stupid but I enjoyed that time. Also is always around and has good tastes in Post Rock and Prog. like Lunch. But he was mentioned already.
WARNING: The present post may contain humor elements that can hurt or not key users. Disregard such comments. Present post may contain wheat shreds.
Riva - Likes tons of rock and metal, and is always in on the discussion of everything. Good sense of humor as well, and a very capable mod. And he had that awesome avatar a long time ago with the blonde dude when he was HeavyRiva back in the day.

I'd like to nom myself. For finally constructively posting and whatnot.
Hate Crew Deathroll- Mitch is a very nice guy who holds an incredible knowledge of the guitar. He is always happy to share and answer questions. He loves Bodom & Metallica. \m/
atman for beating hate crew deathroll and other assorted and sundry metalhead & also classic rock fagz down with his razor sharp wit and browbeating browbeatery

Since you just posted and reminded me...
the2stranger - Very smart guy and excellent poster. He's one of the people here that always seems to be in a good mood. Doom fan too ;)
I second the peter nomination.
Wotan: A really great guy with a nice sense of humor. He knows his music really well and he is willing to help others. He is an Agalloch fan and he loves Maylene. Plus he has some brains.
Vanir: An awesome guy who knows what he is talking about 90% of the time. He is a really helpful user, especially over the Folk/Viking thread. He seems like the kind of guy that's always in a good mood.
superpeer
01-14-2007, 10:09 AM
Lunch: Has been around for ages and he's a good guy. Always good for some classic rock and drug talk. Lunch.
Bartender: Let's face it, Bartender = R&M, has been around for years, extremely knowledged in music and a very nice guy. He always wins these things too. He's a bit of an odd fellow sometimes, but he gets my vote. He's also veri sm@rt.
Pinkfreud: Has terrible taste in a lot of things and he makes fun of me, but, he also has his good moments and I think he ran a poll or something. Anyway, I'm just nominating regulars, because regulars are what keeps the forum fun. Oh and he's Asian
Kingofdudes: AKA Gilmour, another one who's been around for a long time. Nice guy. Perhaps a mod to come. Yes.
Cocaine: The man writes reviews. Another fun guest in the community thread. He's Canadian and likes older women. Ew.
Mazeppa: Good man in the community thread. Lots of classical music knowledge, likes good beer and understands Dutch. We share teh Belgian roots.
Tojesdolan: Sympathy nomination here. Nah for serios now, he's a nice guy and makes some good posts. He's also a bit of an oddball, but half of us here are. Mexican
Permanent Solution: AKA zepfan2k3 or something. He keeps running these things but never wins. He posts at an inhuman rate and has cutting problems. Mexican too. Has beard.
ok I'll do some more later maybe.

lol gj you became a noob like poster now.
oh yes.
PinkFrood because he ran the drum comp sometime this year I think. He is a good poster who likes one genre of music and he can speak english very good. He is always nice and respekful of others who are stupider then him.
i voted for the once in 12 months option.
and i'm really stuck as to who to nominate.
i nominate: Lord Abortion. (even though he hasn't been around much recently).
he's a decent guy who knows a lot about a lot of different bands, and always has something good to contribute. he's got a great sense of humour, but if you ever need to talk to him on msn about something you'd rather not share over MX, he can be really serious about it. basically, he's just a great guy.
Lord Abortion...he's a decent guy...he's a great guy.

he's a good, informative poster, good to talk to, knows a fair bit of theory, etc, etc......

Pate: A bit of a metalhead, but he's a nice guy and again another regular in the community thread. His yawn avatar is pretty much classic. His name makes me hungry too.
Jom: Like... the most helpful person on the boards. He's a great guy. Another odd one, but hey, so am I. Funny guy. Ice skating lol. Oh and he's gonna send me stuff.
Stoic: One of the friendliest people on the boards. Knows lots about metal and he's charming in his ways. Yes.

MetalOz: For running the upload issues daily, without ever giving up. Not one single day has he missed out. Props...

I think everyone mentioned is worthy of a nomination, so I wont bother repeating what everyone else has said already.

I agree with everyone that has already been nominated and I would like to add
Stormrider331. Not just because he voted for me but because he is always a kind guy around the forums and isn't really a dick to anyone. He doesn't force his opinions upon anyway but instead uses real sentences and his knowledge of alot of different genres to point out he is better than others. Always into new music and new music discussion and open to talk to anyone and help 'em out if they ever need it. Not to mention he reached 10k, and thats gotta be worth something right?

/tries to think of people who haven't been nominated yet...
How long will you keep this open Vince?
Since this is for the entirety of 2006, I nominate:
xizoesira: Evan never failed to make me either laugh, nod my head in agreement, or ponder the insignificance of my own existance. He has a fantastic knowledge of metal and added a lot to discussion in R&M, especially the death heads thread. Plus he has that funny picture involving cereal.
BoboTheRagingHomo: Jason was not only my namesake, he was just a plain awesome guy to have in the forum. He was always ready to deliver a flame that could scald at 1000 paces, and his sense of humour was just plain wicked. Plus he was knowledgable in almost all aspects of Metal that I can think of.
Deathcrush: Always there to call us sodomites and regulate the discussion in the Black Metal thread, Mark actually contributed to the thread a great deal, rather than just trolling here and there. In addition, he was a talented musician who's side projects were really quite good. And his drunken ramblings were fairly awesome too.
Spat Out Plath: How can we forget Davey? Glam rock/pop rock/hair metal, anything that involves men and make-up is his bread and butter, and his willingness to help you discover new music is much appreciated by many in R&M. Plus he's a fellow colonial of mine.
Med57: Med might be dead, but he had a great head, was always right in what he said, there was always good music to be had where he led, and I hear he was quite good in bed.

Dr. Jake Destructo - Despite the fact that he stole my name, he's one of the coolest regs on the forumz. Always willing to share information on acid trips and the perfect tunes to complement them. I hear he's sobered up now, but I don't believe it for a second.
Pate - Great guy and a talented photo model (see avatar). His band projects are always great to listen to. He is way too much of a mettlehead, but it is forgivable.
PinkFreud - Likes Cherry Garcia. Is Asian (and all traits that come with the title). Is a total mindless spamming elitist and is really fun to talk to.
Superpeer - He had special pockets hemmed into his clothes so he can fit extra waffles in them, in case of emergency. Always fun in the AIM chats and on the forums. And his rep is huge beyond huge.
Kage - Contrary to popular opinion, he has great musical taste. He even likes Giant Squid! And, what in all of MXdom is greater than a mindless sex slave to Robert Fripp?
