so yeah i got some gorilla snot earlier in the week and i used it on my sticks. i liked the stuff and would probably recommend it to someone, but if you start to rely on it, then when you dont have it you could start droppin sticks big time. i guess it's all a matter of personal preference.
teh guitarist in our band liked it for his pics and a couple of our roadies use it. the only complaint i have is that it makes your hands turn a blackish color. i wouldnt start to depend on it just because if there was ever a time when i didnt have it then it could decrease your performance.
has anyone had any long-term use of this product? like i said, i just got it last week.
thanx

I personally believe that those products are stupid. I don't know exactly what it does but if you need a product to get grip on your stick you have some bad techinque; the stick should be allowed to move around in your hand.
I recommend saving yourself a couple of months supply of gorilla snot and going for a lesson to fix up your techinque, from there you'll boom.

well actually i stopped using it. i found that if i was used to using it and then went to not using it, then my grip suffered, and therefore my technique suffered.
Focker: I believe it was meant for guitarists who's picks would slip off of their sweaty hands.
moshpitdrummer's situation is a first for me. Gorilla Snot for drum sticks? Strange, but very innavative, I'll give ya that. :thumb:

No, you misunderstood.
Your grip shouldn't suffer from the lack of it therefore it is a weak grip, if your grip is good then you shouldn't need it. You can't argue that your hands get sweaty because I sweat while doing things like playing foosball or soul calibur(only video game I play with my friends once in a while, gets pretty intense) so you can't give me that sweaty arguement
