Garageband Users

Hey guys,
Ok so ive been messing around with garageband and I found that EACH TRACK can only have one "effect" on it.
For instance, If i choose the clean guitar setting on a guitar track.... the whole track can only sound clean guitar.
My question is,
Is there anyway to mix more than one effect in a SINGLE track?

I have not used Garageband very much, but I do know that in most recording programs regardless of price/quality/age should have the option of selecting a part of the recording and adding effects to just the selected part.

Garageband is limited to two inserts per track (and has seperate track eq/reverb/compression/echo)

If you really need more, you'll have to bounce the partially effected track to another and add effects there.
