I got this game a couple weeks ago and I must say, it's one of the best games I've ever played. I sifted through this forum and realized it didn't have a thread. So, I thought I'd start one up.

Discuss things you liked about the game, things you didn't like, your game progress, different strategies and etc.

I play plenty-o-games. Is this "game spot" (not familiar with it) a trustworthy source for game ratings?

No, but when they give a game a shitty score like that, it's usually bad enough.

I really don't see how it can be considered a shitty game. The graphics are good (for ps2), there's lots of unique kills, it has a pretty good plot line, it's lengthy and quite difficult and to top it all off there are slpendid little quips and things thrown in for some comic relief.

There you can see one of the games many special interagations. At any time you can interagate people just by grabbing them and holding a gun to their head, or choking them etc. But there are special interagations where you use objects around you to get info. After you get the guy to talk you can just kill him, or use him as a shield. In this particlar case you can put the guy in a parana tank and watch him devoured by them. Just in that very same level there are several other special interragations: put a guy through a wood chipper, drop a guy off a cliff, have a guy gored by a rhino.

Here you can see various other shots of the game. Take not of the one where you rock the knife rack back and forth, eventually they all fall and a couple go in his neck/face. Also take note of the one where's he's shoving a big russians head into a TV and the one where's he's about to cut a guy in half with a laser.

I started playing this a couple of days ago on Xbox, i have to agree i'm rather impressed by it.

Perhaps it can be criticised, but i like the Punisher character and its good fun. F*cking brutal i have to say.

Yeah makes you wonder just what people are expecting. I think it's a very fitting game for the Punisher licence and the production values are excellent, you could go a lot more wrong then this.

Good to see I'm not the only one out there who enjoyed this. What did you guys think was the best kill of the game?

I'm torn between some. There's was one were you put a guy up in a ceiling fan and his get chopped of and stuff. The crematory was great, the rhyno, the shark, the wood chipper... so much good stuff.

Yeah, that was definitely one of the best. I actually really liked the one from the first level where you drop the guy from the roof and his head nails the curb. Oh, and on Grand Nixon Island that big ****in snake that eats whoever you throw at the branch. That was pretty BA as well.

That snake was insane, and yeah, in the chop shop.


I liked when you pop up out of the coffin and just start tearing it up at the gnucci's funeral too though.


and as a side note, does anyone here read the punisher comics?

Okay, I admit I was wrong.. this is actually a pretty fun game. While it certainly isn't the greatest game ever, it's kinda like Manhunt in that even though you do the same thing over and over, it never gets old because it's so violent and brutal. I love the quick kills, he's a stone cold killer!

So, I've beaten the game and now have set on hard and am trying to get all the medals. I'm trying to get all the gold medals, so that I can get cheats. What I'm not sure of is whether you just get cheats through gold medals, or if you can get them from beating challenge and or punishment mode. Can anybody answer that for me?
