Gotta stay out of this one. Not a fan of any...
Four good albums in this one, but I have to go with The Scattering of Ashes.

I'm torn between In the Absence... and Enter. Both are near perfect post rock albums..The Scattering of Ashes would have gotten some consideration had it been in a different poll, but alas, it can't hold a candle to the two previously mentioned albums.
I'm listening to In the Absence of Truth right now, had to go with it.

Dammit. I was counting on you and me to be the two votes for Enter. GG.
Don't get me wrong, I love Enter. But the new Isis is just sweet as hell.

That's my viewpoint. Post rock/metal FTW!
The Adversary and The Scattering of Ashes are both pretty good albums too.

Isis or Into Eternity or Isahn?
In the battle of the I, there can only be one victor...
Isis
The ayes have it.

I was trying to decide between Russian Circles and Isis as well. But the more I listen to Enter, the more I am convinced it is a better album.

That Isis album was so mediocre.

Do you prefer one of their earlier albums or do you just find them average overall?
For the record, Firduous E Bareen is one of my favorite tracks of the year.

I prefer their older records, but I do think they're pretty average. They get a lot more credit than they deserve.

Goin with Ihsahn. As a band, Russian Circles are amazing, but unfortunately I haven't actually heard "Enter," so it's kinda hard to choose that one, even though I'm sure it's great.

As much as I love the new Isis, Russian Circles deserves this award.
I was listening to Russian Circles today and they definitely have secured album placement above Isis for this year.

I should vote Russian Circles just because they themselves told me about their band. I voted Kalmah - the Black Waltz though because i've listened to it most.
