This song is called Twatermelon, the song is ok, the drummer didn't really give a **** and the bassist isn't amazing. The guitarist is great for his age, same age as me, I think hes quite good.

What do you think?
What else could I do?

Well, less people post in the Audio Arena (barely any, and they're usually posting their own stuff), but you can try.

Bah, the bass was so sloppy I couldn't stand to listen of all of it.

This is hardly the wrong forum. People post clips of things they've recorded here all the time for advice and I, quite frankly, enjoy it. Don't ruin it, you naysayer!

As for the recording, I listened to it yesterday I think and had no real comments. I don't think I listened to all of it, and I recall the bass being sloppy. So, it was unremarkable at best.

What do you think of the recording like how it sounds anything i could do to improve the bass? The bass hits weird nots and preojects over the entire song.

Anything to impove my work is greatly appreciated.

practice a lot until you're actually ready to record, then record in a better environment, this sounds like it was done with low end equipment, which is fine, but you gotta be able to pull it off as nice stuff.

What exactly are you recording with? This isn't a permanent band is it??

NOT my BAND

It is done with pretty low end equipment, and no it is not a permenant band.

Twatermelon, oh my god. That's witty.

What exactly did you record with? What kind of mic's, mixer, etc.

Tapco audio interface, with SM 57 and Sm58 on everything. The drums are pretty sloppy leading to the rest being somewhat sloppy also.

I used only reverb on the guitar track

Drums i used multband compression, some other thing i like to use on drums it compresses eqs and what nots.

Bass I dont remember.

Should I run the whole song through anything?

The bands name is Clitasorous Sex. Next song is cuntaloup, or something

yeah, try running the drum track through some kind of alignment plugin... i'm not at all familiar with the interface you used but if you can get the waves L3 plugin to work with it, i'd suggest running the final mix through that.

First of all, its very closely related to a Marty Friedman song, the name escapes me, but its in his exotic guitar lesson video...... and it is not in rhythm whatsoever..... as far as the quality of recording, everything is very distant and dull..... there isnt much noise and its not unbareable, but it is very sloppy and very weak...... what was this song recorded for?

wow, yeah thats where that came from, Friedman. Song was just recorded for a couple of my friends.

ctf is friggin good! We're going to be on the radio out here in about a month. We just recorded drums for the song that they're going to play using a digi 002... man talk about sweetness, isolating each mic was the coolest thing ever. The new singer is rad too. I'll let you know when it's all done so you can be one of the first to hear. If you're looking for musicians, you'll have to look out of your area, then make each other in the same area... all of our band is from all over LA:

Norwalk, Sanata Monica, Pasadena and North Hollywood. We're all going to live together for a little while, play a bunch of local shows, and if this radio thing works out well for us, we'll be touring sooner than we originally thought.
