I have a Ampeg B2RE Head and I was wondering if I could run headphones out of the speaker outputs in on the back of the head. My girlfriend said that it would, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks

I would believe you would be able to. Seeing how there is a line out option on the actual head itself, you should be able to plus a 1/8''->1/4'' jack, then plug in your head phones form there.

Dang, I thought you would be asking for headphone options, and I came in here, prepared!

Yeah, that should be fine, though.

Thanks for the help everyone. My girlfriend actually just got me new headphones, Philips Noise Canceling. They are pretty nice so far. I plan to bring just my head up to my apartment at school since I am not supposed to be using an amp anyways. Figure it will take up less room and I like the Ampeg tone better. Thanks again.

It seems like a speaker out would be too powerful, but I guess majority rules and I am just stupid.

Just watch the output of the head. It might be a good idea to check the impedance of the headphones (since that's the only load the head will be seeing without a speaker cabinet attached to it).

If the head can be run with no load it would make more sense to use the preamp out/effects send instead of the poweramp out/speaker out.
