Ar you removing the J's? Or adding the P pickup in the middle? Either way you have to route the pocket for the pickups if you don't feel like making a template u can get them here http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Routing_templates/5/Pickup_Routing_Templates.html.
Just remove the J pups and tape the template down very well. And use your template bit to route out the hole, it is good to start the hole with a forstner bit on the drill press first if possible. Then do the wiring and ull be all set. If you are replacing the J pickups them ittl be quite a bit more work to make it look decent. Good Luck :thumb:
