I think the n in "can" was a typo...

That's a teeny little bit broad.

What size? Will you be gigging? Do you want a cab that will be bassy or have more punch? Etc...

If you buy a bass cab your guitar will automatically be able to play through it.
A 1x15 would be a bad idea as it wouldnt have much high-end response needed with guitars. A 4x10 or 2x10 would be yer best bet.

You may also need a head or is that already covered?

We need more info. What is your budget? What kind of tone do you want? Will you be gigging large venue? How large?

hmm, well i have a 4x10 behringer bass cab and it can take a lot of power (not quite sure what the power rating is) and its has a tweeter.....
you can get the paper speakers or the aluminium ones. the aluminium ones cant handle as much power but will have better tone for guitar.

Paper speakers:http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/behringer-bb-410/67832
Aluminium speakers:http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/behringer-ba-410/66593

just dont buy the behringer head! it has next to no tone or high end response unless you want to sacrifice the low end response and have a horrible hiss in the background.

No budget limit - Nice bass rig (Ampeg svt and an 8x10 or something nice like that) and a nice guitar rig (nice vintage tube combo, a certain vox amp springs to mind, wink wink)

Send me £50 for suggesting it?

what im thinking is if there is no limit to the budget, why not just get a seperate guitar amp

i have a 4x10 laney cab, i play bass through it and guitar now and again, sounds pretty good. a 4x12 would be better for guitar probably, but the 4x10's are pretty much indestructible and pretty cheap to pick up second hand.

Is Ashdown your answer to everything?

What does that mean? The "unless" throws me off I think.

I don't know how to respond to the first part... The Behringer head and combo I had both had really good low end response. The high wasn't great, but it was definitely more audible than you seem to put it. Hmmm never had a hissing problem. Even of the slew of people on here who claim to have have/had such crappy Behringer products never seem to never mention hissing problems, unless I've forgotten. I'm not saying you're lying about that part, but basically, don't try to push your opinion as fact.

Maybe my analysis of what you said is completely wrong, put I had trouble completely understanding your post I guess.
