I used to post here a few years ago when i first started playing, but after a while I stopped. I just recently remembered about this site and ive been lurking for a little and have gathered many tips that have helped me. I have been playing for almost 3 years and play mostly rock-metal, My band consists of drums, a Guitarist, me(bass) and the singer, so i have tons of space to fill and i love it.

My band is getting started, we like to call our style classic metal, its basicly hard rock, but we just dont like calling it that. We have played a few gigs, and are about to have some big ones coming up with our new singer. My band consists of a Drummer, a Guitarist, me(bass) and the singer.

I play a Ibanez sr300dx (first bass)
and a Fender Jazz (my main.)

Ive been thinking about getting a new bass latley, I Love the sound of my jazz, but at the same time i feel my ibanez has faster neck but has kind of a empty tone in the higher register, but i do love the extra frets even if the tone isnt perfect.

I just need to go to some stores and try some basses out, but if anyone could maybe reccomend me something they like for the same style of music or something.

But anyways, yeah im new here, I know theres alot of talented people here, so dont own me with your skillz.... at least not too much.:naughty:

Id rather not go over 800-900, but if i find the bass is just perfect, I would definitely go over.

schecter elite 5 is perfect
but if you don't like it (doubtful), you got the Rockbass corvette classic 5 in the same price range, which is also ace in tone, playability, and versatility...

but if you're willing to spend more than that, used warwick or high-end ibanez
