I mean the thin magnetic wire that wraps around the poles. And if thats what you meant too what do I solder the other end to?

U solder then end that finishes the winding to the other eyelette, U can see that there is two in the picture i posted above.
The U solder your regular hook up wire to the same eyelettes and wire it into the pots and jack just as you normally would. (notice the black and white white wire attached to the eyelettes also)

So both ends of the magnetic wire are soldered to the eyelets?
And what sort of wire do I need to go to the pots and jacks?
Oh and where do I get these eyelets and how do I put them on?
Sorry about all the questions but Ive been seriously considering making my own pickups for some time.

Yes.

Doesn't matter that much, 22 or 24 awg wire is a good size.
Oh and where do I get these eyelets and how do I put them on?

oh ok. You may have alittle touble cutting the plastic as it shatters really easily, you have to be careful.

mm Ok ill just buy them then, but first I gotta get a pickup winder. Is it true the winding can be done with a hand drill fairly easily?

There is information here http://europa.spaceports.com/~fishbake/counter/count.htm
on how to make a wind counter for the hand drill rig as well.
