if you own the sig bass its not really the same as the one marcus miller uses..he has different electronics and i doubt his bass is made in japan.
i have a stingray, so lots of people play them, my warwick streamer jazzman is played by a really awful band called enter shikari

Well, Marcus' Jazz is a 70's Jazz with active electronics installed, so no, he doesn't technically play the Japanese one :p

I love the way it sounds and plays. It is very easy to play with super low action. The pickup combo gives a lot of tonal possibilities and the fact that it is chambered makes it pretty light.

The only thing that would need any changing on my bass would be a shielding project.
If i crank the treble eq on the bass there is a slight hum. It's pretty much un-noticeable anyhow.

Unfortunately, Sid didn't actually PLAY bass. In every article I read about the Sex Pistols, it was said that the guitarist played bass on all the recordings, and for live shows, there wasn't any bass actually being played. Sid was just a poser, and the only reason he was kept in the band was because he had the punk "look".

The first pic of Chris is him playing at Glastonbury 2004 where he played a 5 string rapture (4+1) but the B string and its peg broke and where removed thus making it 4 string. He also smashed it to pieces at the end of the set.
That would make sense if that bass in the pic was a 5 string... If the B string snapped, why is the D tuner missing and no gaps in the strings? And a 4 string bridge and neck...
I don't understand the 2+2 picture just posted.
I've only ever seen raptures with 4 in a row.

Tony Kanal from No Doubt, Michael Anthony from Van Halen and Kilian from 4for1 ;)
by the way Sid Vicious could play bass (he played the upright bass in a jazz group before he became a punk) him and the band just chose not to let him play as he never showed up for recording sessions and he was always too out of it to play live

ah i just checked, he does play spectors, but not the same model as me
When Roadrunner Records recording artist Mike Kroeger of the hit band Nickelback needs a bass that rocks, what does he pick up? That's right, he plays the original, he plays a Spector. Ok, he plays one of his Spectors. Mike plays a couple of Euro 5s, as well as USA 5's, including one of the beautiful new Buckeye Burl basses. (Check it out at the right!)
You know these guys, sell out shows, #1 records, Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum albums...
The new single "Photograph" off the new CD, "All the right reasons" is here! Mike plays his Buckeye Burl NS-5 XL on the whole record!

Fieldy is the bassist for the band KoRn
And his signature bass is called the K5.
It's a sr505 with, in replace of standard inlays, a large K5 logo near the 12th fret.

Theres lots of people with Rics nowadays, mostly indie mother f*ckers.
Not many with black Rics with black scratchplates and black rickenbacker plates on the headstocks. =]

To my understanding, he didnt use 5ers before he started playing the fenders, i remember a interview from that time where he said that he never had the use for it.
Oh, and every other bass geddy plays than the Black with white pickguard, is his sig. if you dont belive me, find a Rush in Rio or R30 and check the back of the headstock.. his sig. will be there.

P.S:
When talking about "The Geddy lee" in 99.99% of the times, its about the Fender Geddy Lee Signature Jazz Bass.
