from what i hear theyre really poorly made. the neck joints are terrible, frets arent good, sound like crap and are just overall not a good buy. check out brice basses on http://www.rondomusic.net if you want a cheap but good 6er
it says its only available in a 4 or 5 string. is brice a good brand? would i have to replace the pickup(s)?

Brice are available in 6 string models, theyre pretty good. i own one and its a nice bass, the pickups are good for how much the bass costs and if you really wanted to you could upgrade them but theres really not any need to.

Brice are much better than Galveston. Best budget 6 string IMO. That ibanez is good, the one that everyone seems to have.
