Music.

Drums and guitar and vocals and really, really bad production.

Go.

The second song is better.

Bump.

The second song has better production now.

Please look, even if just at the second one (though the first one really shows off my drummer's chops).

I need some honest opinions.

put em up on something not myspace, it's blocked at my work and plus the compression on myspace is horrid

yeah purevolume is not blocked.

Here's my advice. A lot of bands jump the gun on recording. Write about 8 or 9 songs and then perfect them. Take 3 of your best and 1 in the middle and record those. You should make sure that you listen to your music objectively so you can hear where things need improvement. I'm not going to say which parts because it's best if you develop the skill to make good music on your own, and my opinion of good may be different than yours. Just try to make every song you write the best it can possibly be, before you decide to record it.

Once you're ready to record, make sure you record the drums first and it's to a met. Usually the next thing that's recorded is bass, and after that it's more of an artistic (from an engineer's/ producer's) angle. Just like what i said about writing, make sure it's the best it can possibly be. Don't settle for mistakes, and even if you don't make a mistake, if that take didn't feel right when you played/ sang it... it won't sound right in the end.

Thanks a lot for that, we didn't really record it professionally, we just wanted to get some of these tracks down - I do think these are our best, but the recording isn't great. We just wanted to get a few demo tracks down to hear ourselves - and get some outsider comments on our songwriting/playing, but I'm going to take your advice for when we have professional recording equipment.

And Eliminator, you were wrong.
