So heres the situation:
I'm a beginning vocalist (when I say beginning, i mean that I can't actually sing, but I'm working towards an acceptable voice). I asked for a microphone and PA speakers for christmas, hopeing to get one and then i'd be able to pay for the other one. I got a microphone in the form of a box set thingy that has a microphone and a box thing that puts the mic through the computer. I haven't opened it up because I didn't know if the differences between a dynamic and condenser mic matter. So here's the microphone: Its a Tuscam LD-74. If anyone has any experience with it or knows about it, anything would help. Thank you very much in advance for any feedback.

That's a condenser mic. It's meant for recording and sound reinforcement primarily, for vocals and acoustic instruments.

If you attempt to use it with a PA, you're going to get massive amounts of feedback. the frequency response is going to be really nice, but you're going to get alot of feedback, and the mic will pick up EVERYTHING in the room.

If you're deadset on using a PA with it and not recording, return it, and buy an SM58 or 57, made by Shure.

Then use some of the money left over for the PA so you can get a nice one.
