She tripped or something and I'm pretty sure her knee is blown. ANd thanks to canadas WONDERFUL healthcare system they wont be home for like 7-8 hours.

God knows how long she'll have to stay :(

I hope your mother is OK, man. When my mother broke her arm I was a little scared but that's because I didn't find out she broke her arm until she came home. The whole time I was thinking she died on me.

I'm sorry steve, but I can't come to the party 'cuz my parents took the car away and if I sneak out like my dad'll send me to military school!

My mom went to the ER once. I almost crapped my pants 'cause I thought she was going to die.

The left side of her face wasn't moving. She thought she had a stroke, but it was only Bells Palsy. She slurred her speech a lot and couldn't close the left side of her mouth tight, so she drooled too, and she reminded me of a retard.

We kept threatening to buy her a helmet and some spandex pants. It was kind of sad that it only lasted 3 months.

emergency rooms are pointless, i went there, spent 3 hours, so they could tell me i fractured my leg and had to go somewhere else anyway. they dont do anything

that sucks. well wishes to your mom. :)

At least Canada has good coverage though, right?

At camp one year I broke my wrist and it was in WV in the mountains so they didn't want to have to go anywhere, and it took them 3 full days before they took me to the ER to replace the Ace bandage with a cast. At the ER it took all day. Me and the couselor left after breakfast and got back after dinner, and didn't get to eat anything that day. All to take one x-ray and put a cast on. The counselor also missed getting to have her night away so it sucked.

we have great coverage up here, but the ER line ups are HUUUGE due to a lack of doctors.

Any, they got home this morning and it turns out she tore a ligament or something, they did x-ray which were inconclusive so they gave her some meds, a tensor bandage and some crutches and we're gunna see how it turns out.

thanks for the wishes.

.

If you lived in America you Would actally mean that, Think about having to pay 500$ A night for a hospital Room, and having ot pay to get yourself fixed, stupid ppl, who cares how long it takes, Canadas health care pretty much just saved your Christmas, if it wasn't so little (or free as in most cases) your parents would be in such a bind for money right now.

and yea, srry about your mom, thats gotta hurt,.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve something, even it's already superior to other health systems.
