another project guitar

so, today i was hanging out with a friend and i asked him about a guitar i had given him like 4 or 5 years ago. so we went to his shed and it was just sitting on a stand. the pickups were all rusted, the fretboard was screwed up and the paint was all chiped up. sp i gave him 20 bucks for it. It is a strat body shape and a jackson neck and head stock shape. so i was thinking about a frankenstrat, but i just dont want to make it look like someone elses guitar. i want to shape it a bit and put the cord input on the side but i need something more intresting. got any Ideas?

Maybe do some crazy **** with the electronics like series/parallel/phase and slap in some stacked single pups and coil tap em all.

Cut a monkey handle in the body ala ibanez JEM?

i was thinking of doing that. i want to paint the body white and the pickgaurd black.
and i'll go get some pictures.

its a beginner guitar but itll be fun to work on.

That thing is pretty kick. I'd repaint it for sure.

You could:

-scallop the frets, I made a lesson further down the pages
-make a pelxiglass pickguard
-install LED's in the body
-buysome single coil sized humbucker for all positions and then do some kick *** wiring with them.

meh. I'm putting led's in my bass's pickguard. I tried making a plexiglass one but it shattered when I cut it with my jigsaw.
