all right so, i have this old gibson kalamzoo. my grandma got it from a garage sale really cheap. it has been spray painted and the paint was all chipped. it was in a flood but the wood is fine. its missing an inlay and the fretboard is all rough. some frets are messed up, it was filled with dry mud under the pickgaurd and the electronics are crap. so i cleaned the body all up, i removed the paints and sanded it down good. i repainted it with this intresting grey paint. the photo makes the paint look crappy but its really cool in person. I recently decided to repaint it again and i was thinking i want to paint the neck and body black. cut myself a goldish bronze pickgaurd and truss rod cover. and get a new comletely blank fretless finger board without any inlay. this is just the basics.

i was looking to see if anybody had some intresting suggestions to make it a one of a kind bass.soo???

heres some pictures.

One of a kind? I think it's already got that covered :)

Looks like a great project bass...

there seems to be a lot of room to do some electronics mods to that. maybe add a second pickup.

aren't those worth a decent amount of cash? especially since it even says Kalamazoo on the headstock. i'd definately see what it's worth before doing anything else.

I can't even find that bass when I google it. The closest I can find is some 1965/67 2+2 SG-style bass.
