hey- yeh it's quite good
Production really needs improving- use another band like the dubliners or the pogues as a template for your levels. And a bit of tuning correction wouldn't go amiss on the flute. The stop and start nature to the track could be seen as a plus point but it does mean that it doesn't flow very well and it's quite difficult to get involved with the song. Maybe if you restructure it so that there's only one or two pauses in the song, then it will be a better song altogether. This is my kind of music and I really wanted to enjoy it but felt I was always being held back from a really fun chorus.
I hope this was constructive enough- I wasn't going to put it down as you have the ingredients for a good song, but as we all know it's how you mix those ingredients to get the final taste!
Keep Working on it- it will come

hey thanx for the listen.
i will work on making the whole thing more fluid.
... this was my first time ever working with midi - i usually absolutely detest midi ... i will probably rerecord everything using percussion... ...and the flute ... well. it doesnt need an outotuner, it needs a second take (as the guitar does as well i guess.)
anyway. if you like this style of music, i can post a whole lote more if you are interested.
cheers and thanx again for the crit.

The accent was irish to me, but then I'm horrible at determining accents. It was cute.
The music was fine, MIDI is a bitch and for your first time this was very good. I liked the flute, you could bring that out some more because its so unusual. You could put a sound effect on the guitar to make it more mellow. What mixing software are you using?
Overall, I enjoyed the piece and the lyrics were funny.
