Stick Control, Short Rolls in 6/8

Page 25, #13 to the end of the 6/8 section.

I am having some trouble figuring out how the grouping of 8 should be played in 6/8. On the note on the bottom of the page it says the 8 should be in 32nd notes, but wouldn't that give me 7/8?

I tried seperating the group of 8 into 2 groups of triplets and 1 group of eighth notes. Seems to work but I have a feeling it's wrong.

think of it as 8:6

just play 8 evenly spaced notes in the time of that 1 beat. take it really slowif you have too.
for this example, if it helps you as well, you can think of it the other way. And it's a bar of 2/4 and the first 3 8th notes are a triplet, and you are playing just normal 32nds.
