Hey guys, how's it going?
I have this problem which I have trying to get by but for some reason can't. I play to a metronome with my band, and I can play along to it perfectly. However, as soon as those headphones come off, I have trouble keep it steady. Does anyone know of any good exercises which can help me fix up this problem? Any comments/opinions GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance
Take care

By take off the headphones you mean that you don't hear the click anymore?
If so, get a metronome where you can SEE the beat and play a simple beat with it for half a minute or so. Then play without looking at it and look back down at it every once in a while to see how you are staying with it. Not sure if that's the best advice, but that's what i'd do.

Maybe get one of those pedals that can turn on the metronome on and off.So when your playing you can press the pedal so their will be no click and then kick it again and see if you always come back on one.

It's not a metronome. It's a pedal with a cord that plugs inot metronomes.

Get the book "its about time" has a lot of tracks with the click stoping only on 1 or only on 2 and 4 and siht like that.
This might also help, When listening to music count it. Turn the volume down so you can't hear it then turn it back up. See if your counting in time. the longer you can keep the count in time the better.

Gotta spend a lot of time witht he click and work at internalizing the time!
Also remember, it's when you can NOT hear the click, is when you are in perfect time with it.
