Get out your A1! Here's an 8 bar exercise out of the fantastic, and incredibly juicy, Slammin' Hybrids by Greg Anderson.

I enjoyed it so much, just had to share.
Enjoy!

Organic?! Only real men eat real beef. None of this healthy ****.

I don't eat cheap factory farmed meat, it has its place in society but if you can afford to eat proper meat (even if that involves less on your plate) then do it.
Its either supermarket organic/ free range kinda stuff or off to the butchers.

Right. Do you know what organic means?

12-16-2006, 08:10 PM
Yeah, organic beef is more real then anything, actually. Organic =/= healthy. Organic = real.

Anyways, wow, yeah I'll definitally need to print that out and work on it. I've been whipping out Stick COntrol again with a met so I've been in a rudimental mood.

Oh, I've never tried it.

I've only tried organic fruit and such, and from my experience it wasn't as good as the normal stuff which is pumped with chemicals and what not, and the organic is sposed to be healthier. I thought by organic beef you meant some like weird breed or something which is hard to get.

But sure, top quality stuff from the butcher all the way.

beef: it's what's for dinner

i like taco bell beef these days.

now that i've started to get into them this year, i think tommy igoe is right in sayong that 'rudiments are like crack' (from vicfirth.com video)

this is good, but I think I need to 'master' my rudiments before I learn this one, or get the book. thanks though, it's cool stuff

in the 2nd measure, on the first two notes, there's like an upslash across the stem of the note. does that mean roll/drag kinda thing?

Josiah
12-17-2006, 08:22 PM
The slash means to diddle the note.

In what way? I suppose it might be better for the environment, but arguably it is bad conventional farming rather than conventional farming per se that is unhealthy for you and the environment.

Oops I suppose drum forum itsn't best place for discussing pros and cons of organic :(

For some reason, the third going into forth bar mentally messes me up. I can understand the continuous doubles with the flams, but going out of that into the singles with the flam again messes me up.

 Probably not. Organic food is generally better for you in that it lacks the kinds of potentially harmful hormones, pesticides, and preservatives found in regular food.

No worries, just slow it down. It's a very advanced rudimental piece to play. Conquering it will gain you a great deal in your hands and mind.

Josiah

Haha B.S. all of that vegan crap is.

In a double blind test people couldn't tell the difference between various reguarl meats and "non" meats or organicly grown meats. It's been done tons of times.

People are living longer today then they ever have.

And it ain't the trace elements in the foods killing people. It's HIGH TENSION/STRESS and CANCER.

Saying it's eating healthier is absolute and utter garbage. A person on a vegi or vegan diet has WAY WAY more health problems then somebody on a normal healthy diet. In addition to needing supplementation to adhere to basic health concepts for the body.

Somebody with a nice balanced diet of natural, cooked, foods and excerise is going to be healthy as can be. After that, it's genetic and outside factors involved.

Now enough of the fairy diet schemes... back to the beef!

I got the stupid thing sittin around 190, i just can't get it much faster without it fallin apart/sloppy.

Vegans really piss me off, why become a ****ing vegan you know.
vegitarians who don't eat fish or fish oils or anything like that are just tards, oily fish is incredibly good for you, theres no real suplement for that.

theres a certain extent I can see people seeing the world different but you'd have to be on an alien planet or something to become a vegan or a non fish eating vegatarian

put into your body what it was designed to take, get some excercise, chill out and you'll live longer.

Vannaroth

I think vegetarians who do eat fish are more annoying than the ones who dont since it shows that they dont actually give a crap about what theyre supposed to be believing in and they might as well not be vegetarian at all

pitchfork
12-23-2006, 08:05 AM
Ever noticed how vegetarians are usually pale and fart a lot?

billdrum
12-23-2006, 08:06 AM
First of all, people can believe in what they want to believe in. I can't fathom being a vegetarian, but who cares if some eat fish and some don't? People become vegetarians for different reasons.....some for health reasons, some because they don't agree with eating animals, some just plain don't like the taste or texture of meat. If they can (or can't) justify fish into that, that's their business.

That is a very true thing.

It's when they try and persuad people from "normal" eating, for various reasons that gets me.

Though there is a new returant place that opend up here called Chik-fil-a and they have a rather hilarious marking theme of cows trying to get people to eat chicken.

pitchfork

Yeah but to me it just seems so wrong when people don't eat meat, why would you not want some juicy tasty lamb melting in your mouth.
Or at least a bit of poached monkfish.

Health reasons? Live for enjoying life, not for the sake of living. I'd rather die tomorow than spend my entire life on a boring diet. And if it were for health reasons fish would be on the menu probably anyway.

It's just so hard to understand why someone would want to not eat such a delicious product and do the animal some justice, you know.

And cheese/ eggs too? Why give them up, you would have no real pleasure, cept for the good old sex, drugs and rock n roll.

~(lunch_box)~
12-24-2006, 11:31 AM
its fine with me if people want to be vegetarians, but like josiah said it bugs me when they try to persuade other people
and i think its really stupid when people say that they dont eat beef and chicken and eggs and all that because they think it is cruelty to animals.
do they not realize that these animals are domesticated and if we didn't eat them we would have no reason to care for them and if they were in the wild they would die out very quickly?
and humans are omnivorous animals, we were designed to eat meat and IMO it is needed for a healthy diet. do these animal rights people think it is cruelty to animals on the part of a lion when it eats a gazelle?

Josiah
