My high school has a class called "Internship Focus." In this class, students get to find a mentor out in the work world and learn about a career of their choice, before going to college etc. As it stands right now, I will be attending Michigan Technological University next year, majoring in Sound Design. So, I've been spending the past couple weeks contacting music studios, production houses, TV channels, and theaters looking for someone who could mentor me.
Yesterday I found my site; a little studio called Easy Street here in my town. It's not huge, and it's not world famous, but it does what I'm interested in; Video production (including soundtracks and SFX tracks), Audio production (including music and VO) and editing/mastering for other clients.
So this is going to be my new little home away from home for the next 13 weeks: http://www.easystreetstudio.com/

BTW, yes, it is a "Christian" place. If you want to rip on Christianity, please go to the "Church Drummers" thread in Advanced Discussion. Thank you!

Sounds sweet. I'm not religous at all myself, but don't rip on it like some people. Take some pics while you're there so we can see the fun you get to have!

no, those OH are right about where they're supposed to be for the room. (the ceiling is 10' high, mind you; the mics about 7' up)

kit's a starclassic EFX with paistes.

the OH's are neumann's btw. *dies*

That's one hell of a snazzy place. I'd love to work somewhere like that.

actually, i'm going into sound production, which hopefully leads to movie sound production (which is like sfx tracks and all those little things in movies that you don't notice)
