As we all know christmas is coming up.
And i have narrowed my choices down to either the
Meinl MCS Cymbal Pack with Free Filter China (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Meinl-MCS-Cymbal-Pack-with-Free-Filter-China?sku=445848)
OR
the Paiste 101 Brass Universal Cymbal Set
(http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Paiste-101-Brass-Universal-Cymbal-Set-141620?sku=447486)
they are going with the Mapex M Birch Fusion 5-Piece with the free 8' tom
or you could just throw in the cymbals you think are
But..i have a budget of $200
thanks

Ha pastie.
Are we rating cymbals or light puffed cornish pastry snacks?

I'd take the 101s, the MCS are just too hardcore for me and I think the 101s are nice considering the budget range.
Depends what you're playing though, if you're playing all heavier stuff then MCS FTW.

Cornish Pasty
They call it a meal in one in Cornwall – meat, potatoes and turnip all encased in pastry ready to eat in the hand.
Serves 2 (double the measurements for 4)
Ingredients
1 pack of shortcrust pastry, defrosted if frozen
4 oz of beef, chopped into small pieces
1 large potato or 3 small, sliced thinly
1 cup of turnip, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
salt and white pepper
1. Defrost the pastry if it needs it. Flour a board and roll the pastry out – you can decide what size, you will usually make one large pasty each or two small ones from one sheet of ready rolled pastry.
2. Layer the potato on the bottom, then the turnip, the onion and then the meat. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Dampen the edges of the pastry with water, then bring them together and crimp them in the middle.
4. Place the pasties on an oiled tray, or use baking parchment.
5. Prick each pasty on top with a fork to let the steam out.
6. Bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes (cover loosely with tin foil if they are getting too brown)– then poke a fork into the middle of the pasty and see if it is feels tender. If not, put it back and turn down the heat and cook for another 10 minutes. Cover with tin-foil if the top is getting too brown.
Food history note:
Cornish miner's wives would make pasties and bring them to the mine. The pastry had to be sturdy enough so that when they dropped them down the mine, they wouldn't burst open. The crimped pastry around the edges was used to hold the pasty and was thrown away. Sometimes the pasty would have meat and potatoes in one end and a sweet filling for dessert in the other.

Around here we have pasties (parts of Michigan and Minnesota), it's a food left over from the immigrant miners, which this area got a lot of. I'm a personal fan of rutabaga in there too..

The only time you should ever buy Paiste is if you have the cash to buy the cymbals in their upper echelons.
