After a couple months of taking lessons, where they not only are helping with technique, but reading skills I have to say I've improved so much.
Though after 2 years of playing and about maybe 6 months of playing while reading music(also having prior experience of reading music from alto saxphone and piano) I have to say I like it much better than just jamming out.
Don't get me wrong in saying that, I do love to just jam out and have some fun mixing up everything, but has anyone else has thing kinda odd happening:
Where it feels like you play so much cleaner while reading it from sheet music and almost feel much more comfortable from reading it from sheet music?

Your spelling is atrocious. Yes, I am from Alabama. I wasn't really paying attention to my grammar, since I was somewhat excited to post.
Though that really has nothing to do with my post. I guess also doing bad in the grammar since I was trying to get to the point and wasn't sure exactly how.

Pointless.
TS, yeah, I've had that feeling. I've been playing for around 8 years, and for the last 4 or 5, I've not had lessons. Last year I took up lessons again, and my teacher had me reading really simple swing and jazz feel. Now when I practice or jam out, I play more than just the basics, but reading it off a sheet was really satisfying. Yeah, it felt clean!

If you feel more comfortable form reading it, then just playing, that's pretty awesome!
Keep at it man. Lessons can really give you that extra edge. and being able to read well is a priceless tool for learning.

Thank you, the funny part is when I'm on piano or when I was back on alto saxphone I had it easier to play off the sheet music. Like I won't even remember the notes or when improving even think about the notes, just go with it because I can feel where I am going.
Though with drums somedays it is like I can improv for a while, then other days I just suck at it. Reading to sheet music for drums has been such a help and better understanding. I'm loving the syncopated beats we are getting into.
