This is metal???

Not bashing or anything. It's really good!! Singing is catchy!! I dig!

I wouldn't necessarily clasify this as Metal, but you clearly aren't devoted to one single label--a good thing. From what I hear, I would say it's mostly just Rock.

I like Faithless so far. The quality is pretty decent; did you get this recorded in a studio or was it done at home? Ehem...The singer has a nice range and his voice blends well with the style of the music, which seems to be rare 'round these parts. Not really digging the outro "breakdown" sort of thing--sounded kind of weak to me, probably just the mixing. Good song.

Abandonment's intro was nice, but I didn't really like how it changed so suddenly. The chorus was disappointing as the singer's voice was pitching; seemed like he didn't have much control over it. I like the verses, though, they're enjoyable. Okay song, could use some structural tweaks.

The intro to Soldier's Grave sounds a lot like a Chevelle song, the name of which I can't recall at the moment. Cool nonetheless. I like the jam right after the first verse that leads into the chorus (not big on terminology). I especially like how the pace picks up after the first chorus, and the second verse has a distinct Maynard feel to it, which is cool. Definitely like the jam that kicks in at 2:43! I like this song--it's something I can see myself listening to.

Rough around the edges, but you guys seem to be on the right track and you certainly have the ability to write some cool, catchy tunes. Look forward to hearing more!

Faithless - intro drags on a little. 20 seconds in stead of 45 would be ideal.

The sound quality is pretty good overall. Reminds me of Chevelle. Simple riffs, with more of a focus on the singing.

You guys are 17? Good stuff.

try to cut down the intro's outro's. Your singer's got some good range help him use it, if you guys want to help write melodies or have ideas, don't be afraid to let him know. It's a good start i want to hear more in a few years maybe when you guys are 20

Ok, sorry i was totally out of it last night. Ok here it goes:

Faithfulness: I think your tone can really improve. It sounds a little to too shallow for this song. The bass was a little out of tune too. I did really like the singing and the riff overall was somwhat addicting, kinda like have hot chips are. The drum cymbals sounded somewhat decen't , but the rest of the kit was good sounding. I think you guys have some fooking great stuff, but just need a little better recording equipment.

Soldiers Grave: You guys changed tempo about ten seconds into the song and kept a noticeable fluxuation of tempo changes all through the song. The singing at spot seemed a little to pushed and forced. I did like the riff and your tone on this song. It was reminiscent of Deftones "My Summer", and the singing was extremley good except for the forceful parts.

Keep at it and thanks for the add!!!! I would love to hear some of your other stuff.

I really really dislike the name to the point of wondering what the hell you could have possibly been thinking when you named the band, but the music's pretty good.

Hey!

I listened to Soldier's Grave; I enjoyed it! I never thought I'd be saying this about an unsigned band but I liked the vocal the best. It's getting there bro, all you've got to do is tighten it up a little bit and you're there. That will come with time. Keep at it dude.

What is everybodys opinion on our band name. Kage commented on it, but that is it. It seems like to me that people either really like it, or absoulutly cant stand it. So..whats everyones opinion on it, and thanks for everyones else for the great comments.

The bandname? I don't dislike it. If you're known as How About The Truth, stick with it; I shouldn't change it if you've been using it for 3 years! Though I have to say, with a name like that, I expected more of a kind of RATM style of band... no, you're doing well. Keep at it. And stay in touch!

What did you listen to? What was wrong. Any suggestions or anything that could be fixed, in your opinion, or are you just taking the dickhead approach with nothing to say about it, except for the fact of how horrible it is.

If your going to leave comments like that, have somthing to back them up with.

Druumer89

Yeah, thanks for your opinion. We are trying to really break out of the box with our newer material, it seems to be going in a whole different direction.

You asked for honesty. I listened to the song "Faithless." I think the thing I didn't like about it was how nothing happened for an entire minute except for some stupid generic 4/4 drum beat and the same guitar part getting repeated over and over. What the hell is the point of this again?

Don't get all defensive at me, either. The world doesn't revolve around you helping make your music not suck. There's a million artists out there more deserving of attention than this.

Sorry but it's just not special or interesting or notable in any way. If you want people to care then give them something to care about.

I think it's great that criticism is worthless when you don't like it, but if it's what you want to hear you really appreciate it.

Druumer89
12-24-2006, 01:13 AM
no i appricate critisim in any form, but the way you feel you do it isnt right. As you can tell thier were other people with negative critisim on here, and the look at my replies moron. There is no need to be such a stuck up bitch about everything.

Grumpy the Cat
12-24-2006, 10:05 AM
There's nothing "stuck up" about telling the truth. That's what criticism is. If I called your band "stupid bullpoop" it wouldn't really offer anything but, guess what: I said your band is uninteresting and that's exactly what it is. There's nothing I could've done differently about it except sugarcoat it with little meaningless comments like "the singer's got good range" or "good mixing." Too bad none of that matters when you're song writing is unoriginal. Good luck sounding like all your heroes: Breaking Benjamin, Atomship, TOOL, Deftones, Chevelle, 311, Avenged Sevenfold, Nonpoint, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lost Prophets, Disturbed, System of a Down, Coheed and Cambria, Stone Sour, Foo Fighters, Trivium, Meshuggah, Dave Matthews Band, Alter Bridge, Neil Young, Deadsy, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink 182, Tenacious D!, A Perfect Circle, Taproot, In Flames
