In comparison to other 'noise', Lightning Bolt themselves said it, "we play, like, classic rock". It's pretty true when looking at noise in general.

Hypermagic Mountain is the only album I have by them, and I love it. I don't see how anyone could see it as noise, it's so rhythmic and catchy compared to like...Boredoms and **** like that.

Magic Mountain is all buildup is it's ****ing amazing.

2 Towers uses almost entirely two notes and it's ****ing amazing.

lightning bolt are not a noise band... noise bands are bands like hair police, 16 bitch pile up, double leopards and some boredoms... not much though. ( i dont like many noise bands)

lightning bolt are one of my favourite bands... ride the skies is the best album in my opinion.. although i think all of them are awesome (including the self titled album which has not been mentioned in this thread)

it was the best gig ive been to!

you will be deaf after seeing them though.. i was right at the front by the bass drum and my hearing was soo screwed.. i wish i took my ear plugs with me.
