Tonight I went to an open mic in Trenton and met a ridiculously good bassist...

So I felt bored earlier and decided to go to a random open mic night just to hang out. I got there and met this guy named Jo who was MCing for the night. Between acts, he would talk eloquently and be all excited about stuff like a good MC does, but this guy was a beast on the bass. I talked to him for a while, and he gave me his card. He teaches at a bunch of music stores around the area and has his own small record label. His own band has a song on the myspace (Kapow) and it's really good stuff, very reminiscent of Medeski, Martin, and Wood. So yeah..check it out and stuff...
