has anyone heard them? they're german but speak in english. the majority of their work was from the late 60's/70's. The Mars Volta ripped off a lot from them.

their style is just really jazzy, funky, experimental, psychedelic, and overall weird. their style is actually called "krautrock", i guess wikipedia could offer you a better definition of krautrock than i could.

why i am posting this here is because their basswork is awesome, completely awesome.

my favorite tracks of theirs for bass would be "Vitamin C", "Halleluhwah", "Bring Me Coffee or Tea", "Pinch", and "One More Night".
really all of their bass is good, but those just come to mind first.

but yeah, give them a listen. there isn't anything like them, really. i highly recommend them.
