Whats the best show you've ever been to?

Of course mine is the Chili Peppers, I just saw them for the second time in November, pure awesomeness. I'm seeing them again in April!

Another good one was Atreyu, but that was only cause the house of blues is such a cool place.

So many awesome ones...

Pearl Jam is always great.
Tenacious D was tons of fun.
Primus was really good.
Nine Inch Nails killed.
Tool too.
The Decemberists were really fun and entertaining.
Fantomas was one of the best. Seeing that band live is amazing. They're just incredible.

Frenzal Rhomb last night was the most fun I've ever had at a show, and they're one of my very favourite bands.

The Flaming Lips had an amazing stage show when I saw them a few years ago.

Muse also put on a brilliant show when I saw them.

Elvis Costello was great.

CAKE was pretty damn good. They were great because they expected a lot of audience participation.

Primus is always a good time.

I don't know about the best performance, ever, but some good ones are as follows: Between The Buried and Me, I Would Set Myself On Fire For You, Circle Takes The Square, the Black Dahlia Murder, and a countless number of other acts that I have had the chance of seeing.

I have been to far too many shows.

I tend to take away major points from Green Day considering Billy Joe only pretends to b a guitarist, that is so lame.

Bowling for Soup is always lots of fun. Bleed the Dream though has, by far, the most emotional show I've ever seen. Plus the last time I saw them they were on the EB truck at Warped, so I was really close to the stage.

They we're so freakin' loud when I saw them at this festival this year :amaze:

A local band called Mala Vita (http://www.malavita.net) is absolutely awesome. Maria Mena also gave away a GREAT gig last thursday and Lost Prophets too last summer (and this wednesday). And AFI when I saw then in 2003 were superb. No and I have been to quite some concerts/gigs/shows. :thumb:

Did you see them on all the last Warped? :p

I would kill to see Anti-Flag, but the Warped lineup last year wasn't good enough to justify going out and getting dehydrated and missing a day of band camp.

It was the jazz fest in Saratoga. The concert is noon to midnight. My brother and I had been there since the start and now it's around 11:30 at night. We're outdoors (it's a big open air theater) and it's raining so we're sitting under a giant pine tree with our denim jackets pulled up over our heads. We would have left except that the last band was Weather Report. So we're sitting there trying to smoke a joint and Jaco comes on stage and starts playing Purple Haze. Unforgettable! :smoke:

An Evening with Opeth on February 23, 2006 at Town Hall, NYC.

It was seriously the most amazing concert I've ever seen, 2 and a half hours of them playing a chronology of all their music.

And going bass-wise, I'd have to go with YES, my very first concert. Chris Squire is a god.

AriAri, Minus the Bear, and These Arms are Snakes.

That show was sooooo badass, These Arms are Snakes is the best live band I've ever seen, Minus the Bear was absolutely captivating, and AriAri was great live as well.

Les Claypool goes for #2.

Bob Dylan #3.

My #2 would have to be Sonny Sharrock at some bar in Boston. At the end everyone in the place was standing surrounding the stage just watching his hands...

Ozzy w/ Zakk Wylde was simply amazing, they were so awesome especially Zak.

Disturbed was also great they had awesome stage sets and were mixed really well.

Then the Red Hot Chili Peppers were outstanding, everything was great and I enjoyed the entire thing so well... Flea was crazy.

In the order of top to bottom.

Gogol Bordello and the mars volta.

I just saw Gogol Bordello with Primus, and I'd say that GB is the best opening act I've ever seen. I'd never heard them before the show, and they won me and the rest of the crowd over in one song.
