UFC is sweet but I'm not into it enough to order the PPV. PRIDE fighting is way better though. The fights are way more brutal and the brutality seems to last much longer on PRIDE.

Lidell is gonna slaughter Ortiz, though I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if Ortiz pulled through. His conditioning is worlds better than Chuck's, so if he can make it into the 4th and 5th rounds, it's his.

The problem with Pride is that there's no steroid testing so those guys can get jacked. It makes it feel less standardized and official. No doubt the brutality in certain fights are satisfying and Mirko and Fedor are savages but other than that, I prefer UFC.

I can think of 2 or 3 UFC fighters that would do well in PRIDE. The talent pool is so much greater in PRIDE, it's unreal. Not one UFC heavyweight would stand a chance against the top 5 in PRIDE. Same with every other weight class. The only thing UFC has right now that's interesting is the welterweight division, which can't be compared to PRIDE because it's a different weight (170 in UFC, 183 in PRIDE). I'd love to see Sherk fight Gomi, Ishida, Hansen, Kawajiri, Melendez, Auerlio, see Sylvia fight Fedor, CroCop, Big Nog, Barnett, Hunt. Aleks, Sergei, see Silva, a PRIDE reject, fight Hendo, Misaki, Kang, Filho, or see Chuck stop running, sack the **** up, and fight Wandy. UFC is a ****ing joke compared to PRIDE, don't get it twisted.

Not to mention the rules are much better, with the 10 minute rounds, soccer kicks, stomps, open weight classes, and the yellow and green card systems. Also, the fighters are paid well, unlike the UFC, where the paying system is so mixed up and retarded it's astonishing. Jeff Monson made $12,000 off the Sylvia fight, Timmy made $120,000. Hughes lost to GSP and he still made around $20,000 more than GSP.

It's not just about muscle mass with steroids and the ones who do juice the **** out for muscle like Sapp do in fact suck. I wouldn't be surprised if every single 6'0" 240 dude in Pride is doing something to max out their workouts.

Never said that I knew anything. I occasionally watch UFC and one of my friends is like you, telling me to turn on Pride saying that they can own UFC fighters any day. I just thought it was odd that the certain episode I watched, 50% of them had massive bellies floppin around.
