There is no way you have only been playing for a year and 8 months. You are way too good!

According to my first bass reciept it was las titm eI checked. But, I'm guessing it's gotta be 2 years now. Somewhere near there.
I can't remmeber when I first took over this account on musciian forums, cos this wasn#'t originally mine. It was my friends and I used his account (this one) to ask about how to get started in bass, and I dunno how long he had this for. So I use my Encore bass receipt to check! And it was year and 8 months ago, but I'd rather say 2 years anyway, I sound more experienced!
But, to be honesst, even fi it is 1 year 8 months - 2 years. That's nothing exceptional. I was lucky that I was introduced to Victor Wooten and things like tht VERY early on, thanks to this forum! So I began things like that pretty early on. It's nothing major, if everyone was into that sorta stuff and started it as early, they'd be doing it.

Hahaha  No, it's nothign special. Honestly. I was jsut introduced to wooten and such.
When I first got my bass I spent nothing but learn every Red Hot Chili Pepper bas line I could. I used slap bass lessons (off of this forum! people like mr_coffeekiller helped me a lot) and slap bass videos to learn ordinary slap.
Eventally I got introduced to wooten and wathced his lesson videos and worked on it as best as I could, following every insturction s best I could. Learning his songgs etc. Tapping came from a lot of sources, but tapping is one of my weakest techniques anyway.
Theory-wise, I learn everything I know through books. But I started off at http://www.musictheory.net - very good website.

You are, clearly, a person who spends their time practising bass instead of talking about it, constantly, on an internet forums. :p
Also, the only thing that threw me off in the "Variations of Paganini's 24th Caprice" was the tone of your bass. All of your notes seem to run together, and, overall, it just seemed a bit muddy.
Otherwise, you are well good.
