So, I know that I posted the new bass I was building with my dad a while ago, but something new has finally happened. He popped the final body on the copy router and roughed out the body shape. Personally I'm pretty pleased and am really excited about how the final product will look. Here's some Pics:

More posts when I get home in a week and can work on it some more...
looks awesome, the right side of the body looks a lot larger then the left, could be how you wanted it though. keep us posted on how it goes

The body is kind of fat... almost reminds me of a Pedulla Buzz... hmm...
Not sure if I totally dig it, but as far as wood and everything goods, it looks great. :D

i really like how small the body design is. its a little goofy, but its pretty neat. the woods look real real nice too. it looks like a 5 string, which is a bonus, but i cant 100% tell.

Incredible! Is this your first build? If it is, it doesn't look like it!

wow, thats pretty awesome.
i'd be affraid to snap those horns tho, that wood looks really thin
the amount of wood you've taken away from the top makes the bottom look kinda fat now, but it still looks pretty damn good

Yeah, that is understandable, but it looks like a walnut or similar wood, and that is EXTREMELY strong stuff.
I probably wouldn't chance a bunch of heavy jumping around and exerting too much force on them, personally.
So, Spazz's bass looks sweet.
I hope to achieve that level of craftsmanship one day.

I sort of have a feeling that part of the looks dept is the colors. Cuz there's so much dark on top of light, it creates some optical illusions. The practice body that I made to check out the dimensions didn't seem to have any of those problems, so I can only assume that the same thing is holding true with this one.
The body is a 4 layer laminate of Cocobolo and Maple, lots more Cocobolo than maple (I think the ratio is 4:1). Though you can't really tell, the horns have about an inch diameter at the thinnest part for support.
Thanks for the props guys. I've gotta just let everyone know, I got coaching every step of the way from my dad who's a master cabinet maker. So the wood working part wasn't going to be a problem from the get go.

That is VERY Carl-Thompson-esque.

I like the larger side to the body, how many strings is it to be?
Also, I don't suppose anywone knows who made Les Claypool's bass?
