The first song on the S/t, "Caress," basically crushes me under its massive weight!

They're so ****ing good.

They're like the only band that rivals Fugazi at being complete hard ***.

In post hardcore that is

I love how its somewhat complex at its essence, but remains raw like hardcore.

Been meaning to check them out for ages, considering how much Hot Snakes rule. So about a week ago I began the slow process of downloading Yank Crime.

Drive Like Jehu is sweet! My favorite song is Luau, but apparently pixiesfanyo is notafanyo? Why not? No reason to be rude!

"Bullet Train to Vegas" is badass on the reissue, and Rick Froberg's singing is super intense.

Did anyone know that the backup vocals in that song are done by Rob Crow?
Badass.

i used to hate any of their 7+ minute songs but Luau got me in the end. the bassline is pretty cool too:

G--------------------------------
D--------------------------------
A--------------------------------
E--2//0--2//-x-x-x----0h2///0----

repeat forever with some variety

although my fav. is still Golden Brown
