Anyway, one of my classes ended up being a debate/critical thinking class, and I'm not sure if I should drop it or not. On one hand, it can get me out of my comfort zone a bit, then on the other I stepped outside my comfort zone this week already and it didn't end well. There is one good looking girl in the class. The rest are o.k.

I suppose this place just became a place for me to vent. I'm hungover, also slightly drunk. Its raining. I'm listening to Cocteau Twins. And I have to go to work in an hour.

So far my classes seem pretty easy and I wish I would have thrown another one in this quarter. I'm enjoying the overall atmosphere, but not the book prices, which are more of a joke than I thought they would be. $93 for a 200 page paperback I just paid.

Yeah, the books are ridiculous. I payed 35 dollars for a piece of paper so that I can register for an online book.

I sort of have started working there, yeah. When I went to Big Gay Bowling one of the people there said she remembered me from the interest session about the radio station. She was like "You had the perfect application." So I told her about how no one contacted me, she told me to go down to the office, and now I'm reviewing CDs. Next Semester I'll likely have a show.

But I left my first batch of CDs to review at home this weekend, so my parents are mailing them back to me.

Buying books is really overrated. I suggest not buying books until the professor assures you you will need to use it in class. Half the books professors tell you to buy will never be used.

Luckily for me, two of my teachers said don't even bother getting the books, they're worthless. So I only spent $200 this semester on an Intro to Econometrics book and a Games and Decisions book. Both of which are almost completely useless.

I haven't gotten it yet. On his myspace though you can listen to some of his songs. I guess the best way to describe them are that they're Butthole Surfers like, and they're complete songs with drums/guitar/bass/vocals. Hilarious lyrics too.

If the shipping is quick enough I might buy my other ones if needed from those sites, I only bought my math text because I need the excercises in them.

Ah yeah, most texts are only really useful if there are exercises you have to do in them. Hopefully the other ones aren't actually needed.

If he is using a mac, all of the clients for it pretty much do that and nothing else.

If its the normal one for windows make sure his firewall allows ports 2234 and or 2239.

If he doesn't have a firewall then delete slsk and its folder from the application files folder, then reinstall or at least delete the .cfg files in that folder.

Anyways, he's on XP so I'll ask him about those ports.

That's mostly my fault for thinking my neighborhood was safe enough to leave an unlocked bike in my backyard. We also had my dad's bike stolen out of our garage shortly after that. Plus my mom has had he bike's back wheel stolen a couple of times.

I also made a really zany bike when I was younger out of old bike parts from my neighborhood and in the same day it was made, it was stolen.

None of those were ever recovered.

yeah they do.. we get free time during the day, and after dinner we can do whatever.. last year i went to quebec... we had to report home at 5pm then we were free to go/do whatever and report back at 8am...

we were at the bars till like 4am each night.

Depends on the bar and the crowd. I dunno what you look like, how old you look etc..

Most of the hot spots ID like crazy because it's a problem here. If you go to college bars in and around NYU and the East Village, you could probably slip in, and get some meatheads to buy you drinks so you don't have to go to the bar. The flip side of that is most meatheads aren't just gonna buy ya'll drinks for nothin.. you dig?

Well, just pick your places and try. No harm in that. The worst they say is no entry! If you're staying in the theater district, or anywhere in midtown, you might have some luck with happy hour places and stuff like that.. But hot spots I would try to avoid.

Either way, don't trust anyone and just have fun.

when i went in gr 11 we were allowed to roam a lot of the time but we stayed at a hotel in jersey so we couldn't really get up to much at night which kinda sucked.
