kerry never "switched" his opinion. he supported the war as a last resort only. when bush went to war a week after the vote, he was outraged, because his support (and the support of most others) was based on the good-faith assumption that war was the last resort, not the first.

How is listening to what the people of the nation want worse than doing what you want dispite the fact that it's against the wishes of the people you are susposed to represent? That's what sounds wrong to me.

Iraq is so ****ed whether the US leaves now or later. If they leave now, there will be a power struggle between the Sunni and Shiat(sp?) groups when one gains power and a bloody civil war will insue causing what will most likely be millions of deaths, on top of the over 11,000 dead CIVILIANS already caused by Bush.

Or, the US can stay and keep military occupation and a puppet government, which will only piss off the Iraqi's and rest of the muslim world even more which will create more terrorism for the middle east and America itself.
