Valentine's Day has come to a close, so I think this is a good time to start things off. Anyway, the reason why I don't embrace Valentine's Day too much is that around this time last year my father was diagnosed with ALS and everything really changed, so that's why I came off bitter and closed the Valentine's Day thread :p Besides, it made way for a bigger and better thread like this. You haven't seen people taking games too seriously until you have seen Warcraft and Starcraft in Korea. They have TV shows about the games and most Korean pros play 18 hours a day. That is crazy

Indeed, I saw an interview with one of most well known players and he said 18 hours a day. It's as good as a professional career in Korea, except you can't solely depend upon it for more than a decade. They make good money though.

I have winter vacation this week. I am so hardcore I skipped school Friday to make it even longer, and to avoid bringing my report card home for vacation. I made honors last quarter, but this quarter every grade dropped (none failing)

Anyways....
I was bored tonight, so I decided to watch MTV because they had an hour or so dedicated to today's rock music where they actually played music! called All Things That Rock. It was horrible. All the bands sound the same. All that wannabe "emo" crap, with the same drum beat, simple and fast guitar playing and lyrics about your girlfriend. And all the lead singers go for the high pitch feminine tone to their voice. Jesus, let your balls drop and scream! No, that doesn't mean blow smoke out of your *** like some possessed nu metal poser. ITS ALL THE SAME. HOLY **** IS IT THE WORST MUSIC I HAVE HEARD IN MY LIFE. You see, I haven't watched MTV or payed attention to the mainstream in ages to really know how bad it is. Although, I like that Evanescence song "My Immortal". Yea, I do, so what? Then I was kind of surprised when I saw some new Blink-182 song called "I Miss You" It was interesting, because I figured it would be the same everything else, but it was way different. I didn't really like it, but it kind of interested me. All in all: today's rock is the worse then hair metal. And now I shall remain MTV free for another 5 years. Somebody wake me when this nightmare is over.
